About Pip
Pip is doing what she loves, and making people happy, through food.
Pip, property valuer turned full time mum turned full time baker, shares a love of high-quality baked goods and a passion for all things handmade. A self-taught pastry chef and bread baker. Pip has been making Sourdough for 10 years now, the sourdough passion evolved after her sister (thanks Penny) made and shared a sourdough starter 10 years ago. That starter has since been shared between family, friends, friends of friends, neighbours, mother’s groups and interstate.
Her love of pastry and lack of it locally led to a want to create it in beautiful flavours and share it with the people of Gunnedah.
Pip and her husband’s property experience helped them acquire the site for the bakery. Where they turned an old Butchers Shop into a Bakery, this is where you will find her creating honing soulful and delectable bites you won’t be able to say no to.
Sourcing Local Ingredients
- Fresh and local is important. Pips appreciation of fresh baked delights has kept her looking local to champion the best local ingredients.
- We use locally milled flour, FPM Cereal Milling Systems in Tamworth for a terrific range of artisan flours great for sourdough and pastry.
